YaLIM Cloud is a pioneer implementer of the DHIS2 SSF

Sustaining DHIS2 Together

The DHIS2 Shared Services Fee is a voluntary collective financing model from HISP UiO, the team that builds DHIS2. YaLIM Cloud is among the first hosting providers to surface it directly in the client dashboard, so the organisations that depend on DHIS2 can easily support it.

This is a contribution, not a paywall. Your YaLIM Cloud hosting, features and support are unaffected whether or not you contribute. Nothing here is required to keep your instance running.
The SSF is paid directly to HISP UiO. YaLIM Cloud does not collect it and takes no cut of this contribution.
What your contribution funds
Core software development
New DHIS2 releases, tracker and analytics capabilities, and the APIs your apps depend on.
Security updates
Vulnerability research, CVE patches and coordinated security releases for every supported version.
Platform maintenance
Long-term stewardship, upgrade paths, database migrations and backwards compatibility.
Global coordination
Standards, interoperability work, documentation and the global DHIS2 community of practice.
What you get: DHIS2 Contributing Partners Program

Contributors join the DHIS2 Contributing Partners Program, HISP UiO's formal recognition of the organisations sustaining the platform.

Global recognition
Public listing and recognition as a DHIS2 Contributing Partner on dhis2.org.
A voice in the roadmap
A formal, recognised channel to engage on DHIS2 strategy, governance and roadmap priorities.
Both partners qualify
When an adopter and an implementing partner share the contribution, both become eligible for the Contributing Partners Program.
Annual contribution levels

Contribution levels are set by HISP UiO and apply once per production instance per year, based on your sector and your country's World Bank income classification.

Sector Low income country Upper-middle income country
Public sector $5000 $20000
Private sector $10000 $35000
NGO $7500 $7500 Flat rate
The SSF applies once per production instance per year, regardless of how many organisations support that implementation. Adopters and implementing partners are encouraged to coordinate so it is only contributed once.
How it works on YaLIM Cloud
1
We surface the SSF where you manage your instance
Enterprise and custom tier clients get a dedicated DHIS2 Sustainability tab on every production instance.
2
You decide, and nothing is charged by us
The SSF is voluntary. Your hosting, features and support are identical either way. We never invoice it.
3
We redirect you to HISP UiO
One click takes you to the official DHIS2 sign-up channel, where HISP UiO handles registration and payment directly.
4
You are recognised as a Contributing Partner
HISP UiO lists you publicly and opens a formal channel for you to shape the DHIS2 roadmap.
Frequently asked questions

No. The SSF is never added to your YaLIM Cloud invoice. You pay HISP UiO directly and we take no cut. Your hosting price, features and support levels are identical whether or not you contribute.

Nothing. The SSF is voluntary and is not a licence fee. DHIS2 remains free and open source, and your instance continues to run exactly as before.

No. The fee applies once per production instance. Record it in the SSF tab of your instance so everyone working on that implementation can see it is covered, and both organisations become eligible for the Contributing Partners Program.

HISP UiO is still defining the in-kind contribution mechanism. We have flagged the interest and will surface it in the portal as soon as the framework is published.

Production instances only. Development, staging and training instances are not in scope.

Registration is handled entirely by HISP UiO. It takes a few minutes, and it keeps the platform that thousands of health programmes depend on healthy.
